WIP - Golden
This is Ryder - a cute golden retriever. This painting is slightly larger than some of the ones I have been working on lately and I must say it felt great working this size...As you can see I used the grid method to transfer the image... I used a yellow pastel pencil for the grid and drawing.

Continuing with Florals
In between several dog painting commissions, I squeezed in couple of florals. This is some kind of a Daisy - My husband, the 'flower master' must have zillions of these on his garden - well maybe not zillions, but definitely many...many...many...

Announcing a Fundraiser for Safe Haven for Cats
..
..
Cat Claws Studio would like to announce a Halloween Fundraiser that we are calling Spooktacular Nap-A-Thon.
This Fundraiser will benefit all the cute little fuzzies at the Safe Haven for Cats No-Kill Cat Shelter in Raleigh NC.
Today’s tough economy is having an impact on the cats. The reality finds fewer cats adopted and more abandoned at the door or returned when household finances worsen. Currently Safe Haven for Cats is caring for over 100 cats daily (the most in the 15 year history of the organization) and more than 75 cats and kittens are on the waiting list to come into the shelter.
Trick or Treat....Would you please consider making a small donation to my Nap-A-Thon.... www.firstgiving.com/ogs_wagner

SHFC is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization and all donations are tax-deductible. SHFC does not get any municipal, city, state or federal funds. All the money to support the shelter comes from individual donations like yours.

In return for your donation - your name will be entered into a raffle for the original oil painting that you see on the right (or any other painting of your choice that available from http://www.catclawsstudio.com/ )

SHFC Kitten
This is one of the many kittens that came through the Safe Haven for Cats doors this year alone. I absolutely loved the photo, but I did make the kitten a bit more orange than he really was. I am not sure what I will do with the painting. I am currently working on a "Halloween" fundraiser for SHFC and might offer this painting as part of the raffle...We'll see...More details to come in the next couple of days.

Chihuahua on green
How's this for a little "psychedelic" chihuahua. I came home from the barn today and had the desire to paint something bright and wow...the photo doesn't really do justice to the bright green background - it really screams "BRIGHT".
