White Cat Redo

This is larger version of a painting that I did as part of my Faces of Rescue project. It features Snowball, a kitty that was rescued in 2008. When he was rescued he was about 12 yrs of age and weighed in at only 7lb... Now, several years later he is at a whopping 14lb. It is amazing what a good home can do for the health and well being of a kitty.

What a precious Sleeping Beauty!!! Meet Snowball...

SNOWBALL's owner writes: " Snowball hit the jackpot by being abandoned on my street - if that makes any sense! He was abandoned in the fall of 2008. He was emaciated - weighing in at 7lbs. and was missing large patches of fur. We took him to the vet immediately and the vet said he was about 12 years old!!!! He is now at almost 14lbs and "fully furred". In the 2+ years that I have had him, Snowball has overcome a behavioral urination problem (likely why he was dumped) and has also had a cancerous tumor removed. He has become my permanent sidekick and sleeps with me, lays with me etc. he ALWAYS has to be near me. Snowball was my foster until last month when I made it official after someone with a good application wanted to adopt him. I couldn't part with my "senior baby".

GOLDEN EYES - Persian girl

I have been very busy with a few Christmas commissions and also some Christmas gifts for my family. Some of those paintings will be posted after the holidays - I would hate to spoil the surprise for any of the people receiving them.

Here is a small painting that I was dying to work on ever since I attended a local cat show. Persians have such expressive eyes - Absolutely incredible. Just to try something different, I painted this one on a canvas panel stained with cad. red.
