YES..Another COW! I tried keeping my strokes loose and painterly on this little beauty. I used magenta as the base color  ---- How FUN!

I am also working on finalizing the date for my July workshop. Looks like July 21 or 28 are currently open. Safe Haven for Cats have graciously agreed to let me use their facility. Who knows, we might even paint a kitty....

BLUE CONTEMPORARY COW by OLGA WAGNER

It has been a crazy week!... Between the prep work for interviews and the actual interviews, I have be totally burned out and unable to find my artistic Mojo.  Today I was able to squeeze in a pilates lesson and this little blue cow...It's weird...I went into my studio to work on a roster and created a cow.. That proves it...My brain is toast!

AWESOME WHITE BULL by OLGA WAGNER

I think this one qualifies as one of my FAVORITES!! Love everything about this painting...I love the colors, the brush strokes, the background and most of all that sweet face and the snout..I had fun working on it and painted this one with ease. Everything, from brush strokes to color selection and application, worked right on the first try. That doesn't happen all too often...

BULL in PALETTE KNIFE - SOLD

As promised, I got to work on Mr. Bull. I LOVE the way he came out. The colors and textures pop on this MAN.

Pugsley is still a very sick little boy. His white blood count was pretty high and he feels pretty rotten - most likely due to the inflammation of his pancreas . He has been at the vets two days in a row now...At least he likes to travel in the car - he goes into a relaxation trance as soon as the car starts moving - it's weird, but kind of cool!

COW GONE WRONG AND PUGLSEY UPDATE

COW gone wrong...or should I say Bull gone wrong...I am stressed and it shows...I started this bull with brushes - then after getting a "bit" unhappy with it's progress, I scraped most of it of and started slapping paint on it with the same palette knife used for scraping...Somehow I scraped of his horns and never put them back - thus we have a COW!

I still really love the original photo and will need to try my hand at a more realistic painting of the gentleman.

Pugsley is still very much under the weather. I did get home early enough today to take him into the backyard to enjoy some sun and fresh air. He really seemed to enjoy watching all the crazy hummingbirds that are visiting our feeders. Tomorrow he will visit the vet for an acupuncture session - If I remember I will bring a camera to take some shots of the porcupine-pugsley!
