GUESS WHAT...Here is another angel deep in his slumber. Do I smell a new series in the making? Maybe... Sleeping Angels...Sleeping Innocence...Must think of a great name...
This is Puglsey, a 5 year old Devon Rex boy, whose most favorite summer-time activity is to hunt large, flying grasshoppers. He looks so innocent while dreaming of his next grasshopper victim (LOL)...

FACES of RESCUE - MOET 63/100
Meet Moet - Piper's housemate...
Her owner writes: "Moet (female) was found with her litter mates when she was very young (about 2 months old) and was fostered by a volunteer with Best Friends Pet Adoption. I adopted Moet at an Adopt-a-Thon 2 weeks after I got Piper (I wanted to have 2 cats so they could be company to each other when I’m not home). After 2.5 days of an adjustment period, they have been companions ever since (2004). Moet is a wonderful cat, confident, stands her own against Piper, is curious and very sweet and we are bonded to each other"
Moet is also named after Champagne - Moet &Chandon

FACES of RESCUE - PIPER 62/100
Piper (male) was rescued by a woman when she visited her grandmother in Virginia who had been feeding him for longer than 6 months. Once the granddaughter brought Piper home to Cary, the resident older female cat was not able to adjust to Piper so he needed another home and that is how he found his way to his current home. He is a wonderful cat, clever, smart and affectionate and he is very bonded to his owner.
He is named after Champagne - Piper Sonoma...

FACES of RESCUE - CHURCHIE 60/100
Meet Churchie - He lives together with Elvis and Ike. Ike's portrait will be next on my easel..
His owner writes: "I have had him since mid Dec. His owner had a violent unexplained death in the house and bled to death. He is very shy and is also a maine coon, we call him Churchie"
I just love these "sleeping" poses - they are so peaceful....

FACES of RESCUE - ELVIS 59/100
This boy was rescued by his owner about 7 years ago. According to the vet, it appeared as if he was thrown out of a moving car.
I really had fun with the RED/ORANGE color scheme on this painting!

FACES of RESCUE - SNOWBALL 58/100
SOLD
What a precious Sleeping Beauty!!! Meet Snowball...
SNOWBALL's owner writes: " Snowball hit the jackpot by being abandoned on my street - if that makes any sense! He was abandoned in the fall of 2008. He was emaciated - weighing in at 7lbs. and was missing large patches of fur. We took him to the vet immediately and the vet said he was about 12 years old!!!! He is now at almost 14lbs and "fully furred". In the 2+ years that I have had him, Snowball has overcome a behavioral urination problem (likely why he was dumped) and has also had a cancerous tumor removed. He has become my permanent sidekick and sleeps with me, lays with me etc. he ALWAYS has to be near me. Snowball was my foster until last month when I made it official after someone with a good application wanted to adopt him. I couldn't part with my "senior baby".

TUXEDO CAT IN THE SUN
This boy if one of the young feral cats that live in the woods behind my home. He is next on the list of the being trapped to get neutered and vaccinated.
Here is a nice shot of him enjoying a catnip toy on my deck!
