Lyla, a grey and white beauty, had a traumatic start to her life. A man heading to the airport found her in the middle of the road. She may have been hit by a car, as her leg was injured and she had some scratches and cuts on her face. She was brought into Legion Road Animal Clinic, where her owner used to work. Animal control was called; as it was the middle of kitten season, there was a strong possibility that, due to her injuries, Lyla would be euthanized to make room for many healthier, adoptable kittens in need of homes. Her owner decided to bring her home to foster her and assist with her recovery.

As luck had it, Lyla and Dottie fell in love with each other, and have been inseparable ever since! They look like sisters, but we do not think they are related, despite the fact that they were found in the same area in Chapel Hill. Dottie is now just over a year old, and Lyla is just 9 months.
