Petie

His Owner writes:

"The Grey tux is my chubby cat Petie. He is a total scardy cat. I was kind of conned into adopting him (I am a sucker). I wanted to get my first "born", Kip a playmate, but it didn't work out as planned. His brother had been adopted and he was pushing 1 year old when I adopted him. He spent the first week under my bed. Now when fosters come to the house he totally acts like they are not there (love him but he isn't sharpest kitty!). It's quite possible he doesn't realise they are there !LOL "

In Four Acts

Something different...Something fun... What do you do with the most handsome and unusually marked tuxedo, a tuxedo who is a perfect mixture of performer's attitude and beauty...All you can do is try and create a piece of art worthy of this STAR -

Scroll down to see the original photo of this character. His name is Mallo Cup and he is ANXIOUSLY awaiting his forever home through the Safe Haven for Cats rescue organization(http://www.safehavenforcats.org/). If you would like to find out more about this boy feel free to email me or safe haven for information...This is one COOL Cat!!!

This has been painted on 4 separate 8x10 canvases with the sides painted black. It would be interesting to experiment with these canvases to explore various display options. Obviously one can hang them together, but what about other options?

"Mallo Cup" - Available for Adoption!!!

2010 Tuxedo Cat Ball Kitty

This was a fun and interesting painting for me. I took my 2009 painting of the Tuxedo Cat on Red and repositioned the cat to make it look as if he was laying on a soft and comfy pillow. This one will be auctioned off at the Tuxedo Cat Ball, with all the proceeds going to benefit all the furry little babies at Safe Haven for Cats.

"Dreamer" - 18 x 24 x 1.5 Oil on Canvas

Tux Brothers

Meet Max and Mickey...Two brothers perfectly attired for the upcoming Holiday season. I love the contrast of their black and white coats against the beautiful burned orange. I used Grumbacher Brown Pink mixed with Gamblin radiant white for the background. I am really falling in love with the Grumbacher's version of Brown Pink- I think because it's really not pink.

Meet Mallo Cup, a rescue kitty that is looking for a forever home through the SafeHavenforCats Rescue. I am toying with the idea of making a larger painting of this handsome little fellow for the Tuxedo Cat Ball Silent Auction. I still have time...

Tuxedo Cat Ball Portrait - WIP

"To be named later" - 16x20 Oil on Canvas

NFS - Donation to TCB Auction

.

This is still very much work in progress - See the post below to follow the beginning of this portrait. I am not sure on the background for this portrait - Last year's TCB portrait was on a deep bright red background, but this year I wanted to do something more stylish. Plus , I already have one in the works that's on a bright orange background...
