Leslie Saeta did it again...She excited me into joining her 30 day painting challenge for September. I was waiting for something like that to come along to get me back into the studio.  30 painting in September - that's a bit of a crazy idea, since I have a major surgery coming up on the 5th...But I really need a challenge to get the creative juices flowing....

This handsome man is not part of the challenge, but I had a great time playing with a familiar subject. Isn't he awfully handsome!!!

SOLD - ROOSTER PAINTING IN OILS by OLGA WAGNER and RUNNING ISSUES

How is this for one ANGRY Rooster...The typical expression on Roosters tends to be "intense", but this little dude is down right fierce...He looks like he is ready to pick a fight if you let him.....

I guess, I decided to post this angry dude instead one of my more pleasant birds (eagles), because of the not such a great day that I am having. My body seems to be angry with me for asking it to cooperate. Jeeeze, it's not easy getting old!...

I attempted a short jog this afternoon, but had to cut it short after about 1 mile. My Quads were screaming and turned into blocks of concrete. Last couple of months, I have been experimenting with different shoes and was successful in finding some that eliminated my knee pain. Now, I am alternating between Atra Superior trail shoes (which I love - but are too rough on pavement) and Nike Free Runs 5.0 for road. I am not sure why my quads (and only my quads) are of the sudden taking such a beating...This is highly aggravating...

CONTEMPORARY ROOSTER IN OILS by OLGA WAGNER SOLD

I can't believe that it has been almost 2 months since I posted anything. My painting in the past couple of months has been pretty sparse...To be truthful it's been almost non-existent... I was offered an awesome Software Development employment opportunity and have been working really hard to get myself up to speed on the latest Data Center Protocols, such as FCoE and LISP.  Now that I have gained the necessary confidence at work, I can get back to painting on a regular basis...FINALLY!
 
This little rooster has been hanging around on my easel for a few weeks now. I started him about a month ago and was waiting for my painting MOJO to return to finish him...

COLORFUL ROOSTER

WOW...What a week! Last Tuesday, we had a lightning strike hit somewhere behind our house. It managed to come into our house via the gas line, which burst under the house. We ended up loosing cable, phones, garage door opener, router, printer...etc... Well.. A week later, and everything is back to normal...have a brand new gas line and all communication devices have all been replaced and reconnected!

This is a small colorful rooster that I worked on this morning...Had a some fun with the colors on this painting...
