Pond #3 Landscape Study

Another little landscape - probably my last one for a while - I feel the need to take on some furry friends!

Pond #2 - Landscape Study

This is a slightly different interpretation of the same pond scene. Still done with the limited color palette, but it's much more muted and natural in it's mood. Palette knife was used to create some additional texture.

First out of several Pond Studies

This study was once again painted with a very limited palette of only 4 colors...Cad Red Deep Hue, French Ultramarine, Cad Yellow and White. I am amazed what a cohesive painting (almost effortlessly) you get when you limit your color selection. I am a true COLOR JUNKIE and find these little plein-air exercises challenging - it is definitely and outside-the-box experience for me to limit my color choices...what FUN!
