Dreamer

This is an older painting after a new facelift. There is nothing like a nice bright background to make the doggie face pop of the canvas. My mom's dog was the rough model for this one - Since it was not a commission, I did not worry about having to replicate each and every spot.

I used my mother's dog, Oreo, as a reference for this painting...It's not an exact likeness, but since this was not a commissioned portrait, I did not have to worry about having all the spots in the right places. Oreo was rescued from a pound and now lives a life full of love and joy in Rochester NY.

I am very fond of Dalmatians...My family has owned Dalmi dogs ever since I was little. This is supposed to be a likeness of my mom's current Dalmatian, Oreo...I am sure the spots are not right -
