Nighttime Zen

I was feeling particularly stressed last night and when I found a photo of Buddha (from a previous Different Strokes challenge) - I knew that I had to paint it...The painting started with two flower vases, but I felt like it became too cluttered (almost like my life at the moment!), so I wiped of the half and left it feeling very simplistic...

Ahhhhh. I'm more relaxed just looking at this. You did a wonderful job! I like the way you painted the flowers loose but chose to keep some nice detailed highlights in the Buddha. Really nice!
